Lynn, funny, I heard from Teddy yesterday, so to speak. It had been awhile. My son is visiting and he was making dinner at my daughter’s. While in the car I listen to the “oldies” station as that is how Teddy comes through and I have a log of it all from the beginning almost 2 years ago. See, we had 4 songs and they would come on the radio but only when I was going to see friends or family or a doctor or etc. There was always something happening that involved others. Well it had been like a month now, no songs. So, I get in the car, turn the radio on to go to Robin’s and lo and behold, there comes one of our songs. He wanted to be with us as my children, although older, felt he was their daddy. Then over last weekend Robin and 2 of her boys went to see the 3rd boy who is at U of A in Tucson for family weekend. Well, Robin posted pictures yesterday from U of A and OMG, there were the biggest orbs I have ever seen in a picture. Phenomenal!!! Of course Teddy would have wanted to be where the boys were. For me it is so comforting to know he is still around us.

Hello, Girlfriend! I am happy about your update and that George is doing OK. You sound good too and that is a relief for me! You are doing great, Lynn, just keep the attitude and strength up and you will be fine. Is George done with the radiation? Did it help the spine tumor? Dance like there is no tomorrow! George and Teddy our dancers!

Hi Jon, I just want to say that some patients do not get pain, about the only thing we know for sure with CC is that everyone is so very different, there are no set rules. We always advise to call the Doctor right away if pain does set in. They will start with small doses of Meds and work their way up according to the pain level on a scale of 1 – 10. Besides, being uncomfortable, IF pain sets in, fighting the pain zaps a patients energy that they need to fight the CC. So, bottom line is a comfortable patient. The only time food would help pain is when you eat the “bad” stuff (fried, greasy etc) and then it could upset anyone sick or not.

    Hi Lynn and Lainy,
I am Jon and my brother suffers from cancer in the bile duct. He had surgery and hopes to fully recover but I am very worried. What kind of pain is that he patients suffer and which kinds of food do actually help reducing it? or is medication necessary at all times?
    thanks in advance!
    Jon

Lynn, I am so glad they finally controlled the pain! Maybe now he will eat a little bit.
Perhaps try some jello, clear soup, pudding or one of your shakes. I am just as happy that you got some much needed sleep! Will wait for the next update and hope the radiation goes well today. Be Strong.
