SSDI and Waiting Period

Good Morning Irene,
During my 6 month waiting period, I was getting California State Disability. My “claim” on State Disability ran out 2 weeks before SSDI started.

Hi All:
Hoping y’all can offer some guidance.
I just officially retired (on disability/retirement) from my job; started process for SSDI.
I understand that cholangio is one of the things that can get you a “Teri” determination based on terminal nature of disease, so that the claim is processed faster. But does this have any effect on that six-month waiting period? Is there any way to appeal the Waiting Period? Has anyone had success with that?
