    Ashley,

I continue to be very happy for how things have turned out for your family. Your Mom is in the best place and I’m thankful that she has made it through the protocol so far. If you remember, I was doing the protocol at the same time, but unfortunately was found to have peritoneal mets during a laparascopy procedure.

I hope that everything goes off without a hitch for your mom and your brother. Best of luck to everyone!

Wow! Wow! Let’s hope for an exceptional Thanksgiving! He does work in mysterious ways does he not? I am so excited for you. Nothing wrong with Turkey ala Mayo!

Yesterday my mother got a call from the Mayo. While they had told her last week her staging surgery and transplant would be scheduled in 6 weeks ( mid December) they instead scheduled it for November 24th! So we are only 3 weeks away from a potential transplant.

My 37 year old brother was chosen as her live donor so my parents, brother and me will be flying out to Minnesota the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Please keep your hopes up that her tumor has not spread and that she will be able to have the transplant. I think the scariest part is that we will not know definitively until the day prior.

Thanks for everyone’s continued support on this site.
    Ashley
