Thank you for your response. I have just finished the first cycle of Gem-Cis chemo regime. It wasn’t as bad as Folfirinox but still had some side effects (tiredness, nausea, etc) I hope that things are good with you too.

    Best regards.

sorry, I meant to say Gemzar and Cisplatin will make you tired, nauseous, all side effects are not the same all people.  Ask your doctor.  I wish you all the very best.

    Hi all,

I have been diagnosed with ICC in September 2018. It was unresectable and many tumors with largest 6 cm diameter were all over the liver. I had Folfirinox for 6 months, had a major liver surgery (removed %80 of my liver) in May 2019, had a CT scan in June 2019 and the doctors saw additional tumors. I had my second liver resection in July 2019. Today, I saw my oncologist. I am going to start Gem-Cis regime on August 26. Folfirinox caused me severe side effects, and now I will start another IV chemo regime. How were your experiences after the resection?

Also, I recently had my blood test. My CA19-9 was 50 before the first surgery, 100 after the first surgery, and now 55 after the second surgery. I am very anxious that there is again cancer left after the second surgery.

I would like to hear your experiences about Gem-Cis regime. I will take it 1st and 8th days then have 2 weeks free.

    Best regards,

    -Hatice
