Hoping for such very good results for you both…and few side effects! I think you’re right John, that it is a great opportunity that wasn’t available until recently. I am so hoping that you both will do well and we will be hearing very good news from each of you!

Suzanne – I’m just about to start chemoembolization (maybe radioembolization afterwards). It seems like these are some of the best treatments because they can localize the radiation and chemo. I wouldn’t be too nervous about it. It’s a great opportunity for some of the best new treatments. We may have to go through some side effects but hopefully they’ll be minor and the treatment will be effective.

JohnWell, next week I’m getting the test to see if I can have radioembolization. It’s called a shunt study. That’s hurdle 1. Hurdle 2 is if insurance will approve radioembolization. But don’t even get me started on that rant. I have to admit I’m really nervous about having the embo procedure. All systems are functioning really well and I hope that doesn’t change. They do say there could be some pain, and also all the risks associated with having radioactive beads put in your body. Hopefully, if insurance approves the procedure, it will make a big difference. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me!
