MarionJune 22, 2014 at 6:08 am #83187willowSpectatorPatricia,
I too would like to add my condolences on the loss of your brother Steve. How thoughtful you all were to read the passage he had circled. Glad this cc family could help you over the past 6 months. It’s helped so many to share the burden and knowledge of this rare cancer.
WillowJune 21, 2014 at 8:28 pm #83186lainySpectatorPatricia, you may add anything you want as it is our biggest wish to get our Site and CC out there. We are making strides but still need to spread the word we are here. Wonderful idea and I know your brother would be proud of that. What a stupendous idea to put it in Braille! Thank you so much. I just knew through our emails that you are an awesome woman!
June 21, 2014 at 8:10 pm #83185labradorSpectatorDear Gavin, Marion, Darla, Lainy and the rest of the Cholangiocarcinoma family,
Thank you for your kind words, condolences and hugs. Your support for the short time since we registered has been so very helpful, especially knowing that you all completely understand the nature, complexity and course of this terrible disease. For myself, I know it was helpful to read you posts, to learn and really get a basic understanding of this complicated disease. It was also helpful spiritually and emotionally to know that this support family was there, ready and able to reply to any question I had.
I will be checking in regularly to say hi and would like permission to add this valuable organization to my Pinterest page (Braillethis) so that others in need may find appropriate education, support and comfort through your resource.Fondly,
PatriciaJune 21, 2014 at 3:45 pm #83184lainySpectatorDearest Patricia, I just answered your email so will say what a wonderful Sister and amazing woman you are. Please offer my condolences to the rest of the family and am sending you some big hugs. {}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}
I’m at your side each night and day,
In your heart is where I’ll stay.
You can feel, see or hear, I am not gone, I’m always near.
I’m the colorful leaves when fall comes round,
The pure white snow that blankets ground.
I’m the first bright blossom you’ll see in Spring.
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I’m the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
And you’ll see that the face in the moon is mine.
I’ll whisper your name through the leaves on the trees,
And you’ll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.
I’m the salty tears that flow when you weep,
And the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I’m the smile you see on a baby’s face.
Just look for me, I’m every place!June 21, 2014 at 3:18 pm #83183darlaSpectatorPatricia,

June 21, 2014 at 4:47 am #10205labradorSpectatorMy brother Steve passed away on 6/20/2014 @ 9:11 almost exactly 6 months post diagnosis. We found the following circled in his bible to be read at his funeral.
Timothy 2 4:6-8. For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.
He also picked out psalm 23I would like to thank the entire group of individuals on this website for your support during Steve struggle with this disease.
