Well the appointment this morning went very well. I really, really like this doctor. He explained that Mom needs to have the plastic stents replaced because of the risk of them getting blocked from buildup of gunk. Since he is replacing them I asked if he would use metal ones and he said probably not. He explained that metal ones are permanent and he did not feel comfortable doing that right now.

He will decide when he does the ERCP if one of them which was placed in one of the worst blockages may be better to be replaced with metal but otherwise, plastic is the deal. He even had color photos from the initial procedure for me and showed me in detail each area as we discussed it. Mom was so impressed!!

Now here’s the “sort of” part to the surgical procedure. He wants Mom to get her last chemo and wait one week before he does this. Since we are supposed to be done with the chemo in December this surgery will be scheduled then. I hope this makes sense as I typed it, in my mind it does :)

So, that’s where we are now. Just waiting to see what this storm is going to do now and then chemo and doctor on Wednesday as long as we can get there!!

    Thank you all so much!!!

    Christine x x :)
