Hi all,
Today is my first full day back from the hospital. I had the exploratory surgery a week ago today. Unfortunately, they discovered bad news. The tumor, or a tumor, is wrapped around the inferior vena cava, and is considered inoperable.
The doc is looking into the possbility of liver transplantation, but the location of the tumor may make that impossible or impractible. I have an appointment to see my oncologist next week to discuss our future plans.
I am very disappointed, and in a lot of pain. It took a lot of pain and surgery to find out the news. I guess I’m coming closer and closer to face my mortality. They have not given me “x” amount of months to live, but I could see it on the surgeon’s face.
