That is so nice to hear and confirms that we have made a great decision in re: to chosen a surgeon. How is your close relative handling the aftercare and what does it consists of? Our best to her and everyone involved.

A close relative of mine was diagnosed in 2004 and underwent surgery under the care of Dr. Jenkins. He is wonderful and Ruth is still fighting the good fight. All the best to your husband. He is in superb care.

Thanks to this wonderful website and the people linked to it I was able to find the name of Dr. Jenkins at the Lahey clinic in Mass.. After my husband (age 61) had been diagnosed with CC we were told that a resection was not possible and were preparing for his chemo treatments. I don’t remember who it was that mentioned Dr. Jenkins name as his surgeon who had successfully resected his Klatskin tumor however, the next morning I had called Dr. Jenkins’ office in regards to my husband. Three weeks later, after numerous opinions with other surgeons, we are now scheduled to fly to Mass. My husband will have the operation on June 2nd. We are cautiously optimistic about the outcome of the operation but I can’t give enough thanks to each and everyone linked to this organization for giving us hope and direction in this trying time. I hope to post the outcome of this procedure as soon as we return to California. Thanks to this wonderful person from Vermont who was so kind as to post his experience with Dr. Jenkins.
