Marinmommy….I applaud your courage and determination and the re-consideration of the interventional radiologist in placing the g-tubing for symptom control. May your family continue to be embraced by love and serenity in the days to come.
    Love and hugs,
    Marion

Thank you all for your kind and loving words. Especially thankful for how peaceful, in general, his last days have been. I am grateful to be able to be at his side and care for him during this time.

Marions – we pushed for the g-tube and he hasn’t suffered from vomiting. My mother and us kids really appreciate your advice. Keep in mind no one wanted to place it for fear of infection however the interventional radiologists finally agreed to it.

    Dear Marin,

I am so very sorry to hear where you and your dad are at right now. I so know how tough this is for you as I was there where you are 3 years ago with my dad too. Keeping your dad as comfortable as possible is so important right now. My thoughts are with you and your dad right now.

    Hugs,

    Gavin

Marinmommy….My heart is with you. Based on my own experience, I would
not hold back from administering morphine. May peace and love surround you in this precious time.
    Hugs and tons of love,
    Marion

I’m sorry Marinmommy. This is such a difficult time, though you have shown great love and strength to your father. The nurses should help him if there is any chance he is in pain. This is a precious time, though so sad. Sending a prayer for peace to your father and family.

My Dad is nearing the end. He declined in the last 24 hrs. He has been mainly asleep, barely talking and he is making a noise while asleep as if he has pain but when we ask him if has pain, he doesn’t answer. We don’t want to give him to many medications at one time but wonder if we should give him either methadone or morphine. He also started the hiccups this afternoon even while asleep.
The hospice nurse told us based on his very low pressure he may only have a few hours to days.
