You are a warrior! I love your positive attitude about “not complaining because as it has not spread.” Thank for for sharing your journey because it provides such good information about the different treatment options that can be used. Hang in there!

    Dear Brigitte,

It is good to hear you got through the TACE procedure and that the hospital was able to bring the pain under control.

From what you report, your doctor seems optimistic he can keep your CCA under control. It is great to hear nothing has spread.

Having medical treatment scheduled in the situation of such a major hurricane cannot have been easy. Thankfully everything worked out. I hope you have a quick recovery – please keep us posted.

    Regards, Mary

I had my third TACE procedure yesterday at MD Anderson. It took 2 1/2 hour to complete and I am glad they kept me overnight as I was in severe pain and required medicine through my IV as the pills didn’t work. I am better today but still on pain meds and I am home. The doctor said that if it does not work he will burn out the 2nd lesion. He can’t do that to the first because of its location but that is the lesion who shrunk with the second TACE.He also said he can’t make me disease free but theses procedures are a way to control CC . Also recommends continued chemo of Gemzar. So, it is still a wait and see situation but not complaining as it has not spread.
