Glad to hear the visitors aren’t causing too much disruption! Did you leave some cleaning supplies out in obvious places, maybe one of the visitors would get the hint and help out by doing some cleaning? LOL!
I’m glad to hear Teddy still has enough energy for the visits and to get out once in awhile. (That’s been hard for my Mom, as she really doesn’t have enough energy to even walk. She was going so stir crazy that yesterday she asked to ride along with my sister when she went to the pharmacy, and just sat in the car.)
I grew up with musicals, thanks to my Mom’s love for them, her whole family actually. Guys & Dolls, South Pacific, Sound of Music, etc. I love Fiddler too – “If I were a rich man, yadadeeda…”
Hello Funseekers! Thought I would stop by with a Teddy update. This week was pretty status quo. 5 members of his family are here from California, came in Wednesday and 3 are leaving today. They are staying at hotels and come over about 11AM and leave in the evening. It honestly has not been too bad, just that it’s a lot of people milling around the house all day. Our house is a 2 bedroom, not big (retirement community). Today his sister (Italian drama queen) and bro-in-law (lead tenor of the 4 Lads) come in from DFW for I don’t know how long and the other 2 from California leave Wed. That would be September 1st. The next 2 come in from Milwaukee Sept 8th for 3 nights (hotel) but 4 from Calif. are coming back to see the new 2 coming in. Thats 6 again for 4 days. Are you mixed up yet? So am I. While I am not doing much (kitchen closed) its still people all day every day. Maybe I should leave town and come visit???
Teddy has his pain pretty much under control. His tiredness is on and off although I see he is getting a little shakey. His color tone is shifting to a tinge of yellow but he is not jaundiced. Eating less and less. Went out for Chinese last night, his first outing this last week. He had a bowl of soup and that was it while the rest of us gorged!!!! Got a wheel chair yesterday but went on his own 2 feet last night. Attitude remains very up.
Yesterday we all watched Broadway Musicals from my collection. Hello Dolly and today is Fiddler on the Roof. Teddy loves the Musicals.
Also a bittersweet day as my only granddaughter left for her first year at NAU.
(AZ State at Flagstaff), very proud of her….all Scholarships!
That’s about it for now. Anyone want to come for a visit?
