    Lainy,

You are such a great caregiver to T, and a great friend to us here. I wish that this was a better season in your lives, but I am continually amazed at how well you both seem to be handling things. I can only hope that as my time nears I will handle things as well as the two of you have and that my wife will be able to have the peace that you seem to have now. You both continue to be in my prayers for this phase in your lives and although I don’t know exactly what to pray for, I just ask that all of your needs are met and that you find the peace and comfort that you deserve right now.

Thank you for keeping us up to date.

    Lainy,
Thanks for the update. Many, many people are following your posts regarding your beloved “T”. He has become beloved to us as well.

I have a theory regarding Teddy’s remaining: Jesus said “In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you”. Teddy’s place is not quite complete. I know… they’ve had a couple of thousand years… but they are putting on a few finishing touches. May the Living God continue to hold you close to His heart…

    Lainy,

    Re: barking dog next door……

Depending on weight…..25 to 50 mg of good old benadryl. Stick it on a dog biscuit with some peanut butter……wait a little while….snoozy dog!

    insert evil laugh….

He is doing as well as can be expected, actually not much new. Eating little, sleeping lots. Yesterday the Nurse increased his Morphine from 45mg twice daily to 75 mg twice daily and his break through from 10 to 20mg as needed.
His attitude is still good, getting weaker and our ‘going out’ to dinner is done.
We still have lots of visitors but I have put their visiting time down to about 20 minutes. I am so thankful that he is not having any other symptoms such as swelling or vomiting. He is just peaceful. A month ago the Nurse guessed at maybe the beginning of October and today she said a month if nothing surprises us. So, who knows. Only God knows and perhaps Teddy is not done here yet. Our Granddaughter has come in 3 weekends in a row from her first year at College and he asked me if there was something I was keeping from him and I said no, you are loved! So, looks like I may be planning an October 27th Birthday for T who will be 78. I am also so thankful that I have not spent the last 2 months feeling down and depressed, it would have been such precious time wasted. Now, if someone would just do something about the dog next door who barks from 7AM to 5PM, I could ba a happy person!
