Caroline was indeed an inspiration. Man, did I want her team to win that bowling trophy!
I agree with Jeff. She was always doing so much, truly engaged in her life.

My love and prayers to you all,
    Peter

Caroline’s Big Sister….Truely amazing that Caroline… She was go -go -go. I would be almost out of breath just reading her little adventures. She will always be an inspiration to me! May she rest in peace.

    Dear Caroline’s Big Sister,
I’m a little sister myself, and I know how strong the bond is between sisters, and you must be hurting terribly – I couldn’t bear to think of anything happening to my sister.

Caroline was so inspiring to so many of us – even though we never even met her! That says so much about her and her indomitable spirit – and thank you for sharing her video (that I can’t yet watch because my connection keeps fizzing out). Because of this site, I feel like I knew Caroline, and we’re all a big family here, and you’re part of that family. I just hope Caroline and others like her will make the public more aware of this terrible disease. The victims aren’t just faceless statistics, but wonderful people with their whole lives ahead of them, and I grieve for them when they pass, as I grieve for Caroline.

I know right now there is nothing that can be said to ease your pain, but thank YOU for coming here in your time of grief and saying such kind words. You must be a lot like Caroline in some ways.

I wish you peace and some measure of comfort,
    Joyce

Ours hearts go out to you. So many families (sisters, brothers parents.) have terrible relationships. If only they could love one another while they can and enjoy the type of joy you and Caroline shared. Take care of yourself and hold your memories forever in your heart. Patrice & Dave

I want to thank everyone on this site, and those who visit it, for your love and support. Your wonderful words about Caroline really do help.

All of us arrived at this site with fear and pain. Two years ago I’d never heard of cholangiocarcinoma. Thank you for the information so many of you shared which enabled me to understand what was afflicting Caroline. Thank you for sharing your lives with me. It helped me understand what other family members were facing and what to expect. Thank you for sharing your loss and grief with me. Even though I knew Caroline would ultimately die from CC or its affects, it’s nonetheless devastating and having been allowed a window to your pain, I know you absolutely understand what I’m feeling.

I still cannot believe Caroline is gone. Our relationship was one of the most complex of my life and the pain is running very deep.

You are all the most incredible survivors – whether a patient or a loved one.
