Johanna…..I can’t think of anyone (on this board) possessing prior knowledge of this disease. This is considered to be a rare cancer and it progresses without any particularly recognizable symptoms. Once we are confronted with this cancer it quickly leads us to some “on the job” training. It really helps to become informed because; it will empower you to make informed decisions. And, try to stay positive and realistic. (With heavy emphasize on the positive.) Hang in there. As our Kris has said and others have mentioned often: YOU DON’T HAVE AN EXPIRATION STAMP ON YOUR SOLES. So there, get out your boxing gloves. You will have tons of support coming your way.
Best wishes,
Marion
