We found out today that the mass pushing Teddy’s Ureter closed is cancer. The doctor said he was not surprised as it is where his duodenum was before the Whipple. The good news is that it has not spread to any organs or lymph nodes. June 25th he gets a shunt to try and open the Ureter so he does not have to wear a drainage bag. The surgeon today, Dr. James Cashman, director of transplants at Good Samaritan Hospital Phoenix, and our God, said he would like to see Teddy have this removed by CyberKnife. He said its has less side effects than radiation and would do a much better job. We now have to get an appointment with the Doctor that does this. But, we feel very lucky that
it was found before spreading to other organs. He has had a good 3 years from the Whipple and hopefully this will give him another good 3 years. Don’t mind taking it 3 years at a time. At least now we know and can move forward to get it taken care of. Hanging in! Lainy
