Hi Jerry,
Just want to wish you the best of luck with your challenging fight ahead. Think really positive and turn this bully around. Congratulations as well! You know I visited Long Island when I was a teenager. I took a Tractor-Trailer ride with my neighbor in Maine and I think we delivered a load of penobscot frozen chickens somewhere . Skipped school to do it Ha! Mom said just this time. Of course I missed a few more days. It was fun riding the big rigs back then.
God’s speed Jerry!

You have several people on the website in your area. Tricia comes to mind first because she is two and a half years out from her initial diagnosis. Hopefully she will see your post and contact you.
Keep your chin up and I must say I agree with the comment above. Go to a naturopathic Dr. and have them work on getting your immune system working among other various things.
Good Luck! Keep us informed and ask any questios you need to.

Maybe starting chemo on Thursday not sure yet. Gemzar we wanted to use to slow cancer down. She had other health issues to take care of first. She is on lots of vitamins that we saw an alternative medicine dr. for. Also she has a very positive attitude. At 81 she’s a fireball. Good luck with your fight.
A fellow long islander.October 3, 2006 at 4:10 pm #244jerryfergusonMemberMy name is Jerry I am a 36 year old male.I live on Long Island in New York. In March of 2006 I was diagnosed with Bile Duct cancer. At first they did not know what kind of cancer it was but after several CAT Scans they finally determined it was cholangcarinoma. By the time they caught on it was already to late, the cancer has spread to my liver, pancreas, colon, gallbladder and parts of my lungs. I am currently undergoing Chemo therapy and am on so many diffrent pain killers. My mother died of breat cancer when I was just 19 so it has been quite an emotional battle.
However I have found joy amoungst all the pain. I recently got married to the women of my dreams, and we now have a beautiful town house and a cat. I never thought I would be able to love a cat! I find joy in the simple things and I take nothing for granted. I have learned to embarce life and I hope that others are inspired to do the same.
I am hoping by joining this website that I will be able to talk with different people about my experiences, and get some help on dealing with this devesating disease. Good luck to all of you how are in teh fight and I wish you and your family the joy you deserve.
