My goodness – you seem to have a wonderful attitude and that’s more than 1/2 the battle. Congratulations for an upbeat attitude and forward thinking. My best thoughts and prayers are with you for Wednesday. I thank you for encouraging me today. Blessings, Susan

charlea…….I am so sorry to hear of the pesty bone mets something several people had reported. Good luck on Wednesday. Either rodding or hip replacement I just wish for you pain to be brought under control. Fingers are crossed for a good consultation. Sure would be nice if you could retire the walker and use it as a storage unit.
    All my best wishes,
    Marion

Dear Charlea, what some people won’t do for attention! I am really sorry to hear about this but I think you will get through this just like you have weathered everything else that has come your way. Please let us know when your big event is to take place. There was a time in our lives when “the big event” meant something good was going to happen! :):) Let’s hope it does.

CC and needing a hip? That’s a lot to go through. I wish you all the luck.

I wrote recently that I was having R hip pain which turned out to be a significant met because the neck of the hip joint is also involved making me at very high risk of my hip fracturing with movement. I had gone to the radiation oncologist who had outlined a treatment course of 10 total days of radiation with 3 months of healing/strengthening of the bone. While there I had a CAT scan for planning where the more extensive involvement was discovered so now either a rodding or a total hip is in discussion. I see the orthopedic surgeon Wednesday. Other than this I still feel great so I should not complain. The liver tumor still seems quiescent after my chemoembolization and the lymph nodes are stable. I just have to use a walker and sleep in a lounge chair at night because I can no longer get in and out of bed due to the pain. My husband wondered if I was going to keep adding “stuff” to my walker basket until it fell over from the weight of the pills, books, implements for picking up things, etc., etc. We should all have such a simple problem as a toppling walker….ha, ha. Well, back to the roller coaster.
