    Jeff – this is so special; thanks for sharing with all of us. I know it comes straight from the heart and I do hope your holidays will be jolly. When Sam was diagnosed with cc, I asked him why? His reply –
    “Betty, life is what it is. I have lived a good life”. He was an unbelievably strong person and I think you are too. Holidays are tough for me but “this too shall pass”. Enjoy lots of gravy!!!

    I recieved the results of my nuclear bone scan the other day and basically I have signs of mets to my mid cervical spine on the left, L 4-5 Vertebrae, Left SI joint, and the pedicle of T12 on the right side. No change to the 10th rib. Will be doing MRI to determine extent. These 4 months without Chemo have been great but while off guard the little gremlins of cancer seeds decided to look for new homes. I won’t go in to further detail until My oncologist and I decide what to do next. From what I understand there is different drugs that are effective in slowing or sometimes stopping bone mets. I’ll check it out after Thankgiving as I have a mission to enjoy my turkey, and fixings, and yes Peter plenty of Gravy. While I’m here I will share a poem to all memebers if you call it that. Just some thoughts from the heart:

    TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY OR NOT ?

    FOR SOME….JOLLY IT’S SURELY NOT
    FOR SOME….IT’S LAUGHTER AND HOPEFUL THOUGHTS
    FOR SOME….IT’S TEARS AND FEARFUL THOUGHTS
    FOR SOME….IT’S FIGHTING AND PRAYING QUITE A LOT

    MAY WE…. ALL TAKE OUR CARING PART
    MAY WE….PRAY FOR LOVED ONES WHO HAD TO DEPART
    MAY WE….PRAY FOR CAREGIVERS WHO FEEL LIKE FALLING APART
    MAY WE….PRAY AND SEND OUR LOVING AND WISHFUL THOUGHTS

    REMEMBER THE….YEARS PAST AND THOSE EVERLASTING SMILES
    REMEMBER THE….CHEERS OF LAUGHTER AND ABUNDANCE OF JOY
    REMEMBER THE….ETERNAL LOVE THAT WILL ALWAYS BE SHARED
    REMEMBER THE….GIFT OF BEING GOD’S CHILDREN EVEN WHEN IN DESPAIR

    DURING THANKSGIVING,CHRISTMAS, AND NEW YEARS I’LL CONTINUE TO CARRY A SPECIAL THOUGHT….A MIRACLE FOR ALL AS HOPE IS IN THE AIR IS IT NOT?

    WITH GOD’S STRENGTH,LOVE, AND THOUGHT WE’LL DO OUR BEST TO BE JOLLY OR NOT ?

    THE BEST HOLIDAY SEASON POSSIBLE TO YOU ALL ! THE REALITY IS IT WILL COME AND GO WHETHER WE ARE READY OR NOT
