Hello All, My dad is having another issue and wondering if anyone else has experienced this. He was complaining of extreme pain in his mouth, specifically the right side of his mouth and all along the right side of his head and ear. It sounded like a root canal issue, and sure enough, his dentist was kind enough to come over yesterday and without an xray, but based on what he knows, confirmed my fear. He said morphine can cause dry mouth which can lead to root canals. His thought is to have the tooth extracted, but there is no way we can put my dad in the car and take him to an office for the procedure. Morphine is not helping the pain, and tylenol is only sort of dulling the pain temporarily. The hospice nurse came over last night, and didn’t offer too much in the way of solutions. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
