    Thank you, Kris, for posting this!

    It would indeed be wonderful if some of our ‘family’ could get there.

    We chose the hotel at Stansted Airport because it is easy to get to – it’s a 2 min walk under a covered walkway from the airport/train terminal. And it’s Junction 8 off the M11. (They also offer preferential rates for room and breakfast to AMMF guests.)

    If anyone would like more information on any aspect of the Summer Ball, please ask!

    This is indeed a great cause and Helen has done so much good with all of her efforts with AMMF. I think this will be the 9th annual ball that she has organised and it does sound like fun. Wish I could attend but it is a bit far for me to travel right now.

    If Helen is organising this again for next year, then perhaps a load of us can arrange to go if we know about it long before the date of it? It would be a great way for UK members or any members to meet up and have a night out!

    Kris….Helen is doing a wonderful job with raising awareness to this cancer. I wish that I could attend also. Please, anyone thinking of being part of this fundraiser, let us know the specifics. It does sound like fun and is benefitting a great cause.

    Hello Everyone,
    Though technically not a foundation event, I thought it would be wonderful to let people know about AMMF’s charity ball to raise money for cholangiocarcinoma research.

    The event will be held 17 July at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Stansted Airport. Tickets cost 50 pounds per person and include dinner, a live band, caberet, and charity auction. Sounds like fun.

    For those of you who are new, AMMF (The Alan Morement Memorial Fund) was started by one of our members, Helen Morement in honor of her husband who passed from cholangiocarcinoma. They donate funds to cc research in the UK including studies at Imperial College.

    It seems like a wonderful and fun event and I would love to go but have already made plans before I found out about it today. I think it would be wonderful way for our UK members to meet up and put friendly faces and voices to one another.
