He should be frightened of me. I lived in Glasgow for a long time including a several year stint in Maryhill. As well as teaching in some of the inner city schools there. So I think I might have learned enough to take a good whack at Rons tumor. He better be scared!

How are you today, Ron? I’m so sorry to hear you had such a hard time at the weekend. I hope you’re suitably intimidated by Kris’ threats of physical violence ;) & are continuing to feel better.

    Hi Ron,

Glad to hear that you felt a bit better on Saturday when you woke up. Hope you’re still feeling better and positive and managing to get some sleep, and maybe even a haggis pizza!

    Best wishes

    Ron,
So glad to hear that when the meds kicked in things got more regular. And yes, that did frighten me so here is my turn to frighten you…behave! I am hopefully going to Scotland next month to get my first peek at my new godson and I would hate to have to track you down and offer violent threats to your body if it doesnt settle down and let you get some good ole sleep.
You take care of yourself friend.

Ron….could it be that the upright sleeping position allows more oxygen to flow to your lungs? Just a thought. Sure am glad that you are feeling better.

Dear Ron, sorry you had such a stressful day. Hope tomorrow is much better. Yes, we have found baby wipes to be invaluable.

This has been a strange day. I have slept a lot, 2 hours or so after every attempt at eating. Get up again and shine for about an hour, then need to go back to bed. OK, my body clock is way out of kilter, but it is disconcerting. Anyway, went to bed for “normal sleep” and thought I could do without sleeping pill and codeine . Big mistake as I suddenly became wide awake. Chest became quite tight so hardly had any oxygen and was convinced that this was to be the last episode in my life! Got up around midnight and immediately felt better and then took my meds. Must have fallen asleep sitting upright and when I woke chest and breathing pretty good and slacker. So trying the same again. Anything to get through another night.

I can see that this is not helped by the lung mets, although Beatson do not think it is too bad. My thought is that I need to get oxygen from NHS. Speak to GP about it next week.

Hope this does not cause fear and dread. All I can say is that when I did wake up I felt really refreshed, relaxed and a bit more positive again.

    Take care

    Ron

PS. I never realised how refreshing Baby Wipes are. Personal views and preferences change dramatically.

Oh wow…I have been up the entire time and never thought about going to chat. I don’t want to miss it next time.

Great – cheers when I left LOL!

Well Marion we managed an enjoyable chat. The big test will be if it works next time.

Ron….if you want to it is possible to stay in your time zone although, if you are up at 4 am your time and can’t sleep then you are right on track with others also. In fact, some time ago, Kris chatted with us and watched the sun come up. But, of course, I am not suggesting that.
I don’t think that you need to be particular good at typing although, the one chat session attended by me became quite jumbled. Everyone was talking to everyone. I suppose that could be worked out a bit better.
    We can work on it.

    Marion and all.
My probems with the chat room are:

I’m shy, so would worry that the only person there would be someone I don’t really know well. so “chat” would be a bit stilted.

I can’t determine when I am going to be in the room, so arranged chats are a bit dodgy.

I am not a good typist, so, how good do I have to be?

How does time difference affect this? The UK is 5 hours ahead of the Eastern US seaboard but 89 hours ahead of the West.

    Good suggestion Marion,

I will check out the time differences and post the day before when I am going to be on. I usually leave it on during the day, if the server does not go down. But then my day is a day in front of the USA and night is day down here.

Jolene….Oh, you had some beef barley soup. I am inspired to cook some also. Regarding the chat room: you probably did it right. Most likely, you were the only one. Remember, it is not staffed. We really should make more use of it.
    Take care,
    Marion
