    Dear Ron,

Thanks I had the upper arm ct today and hope when I get the results on Monday that I will be able to tell you all I am cancer free at present!!! Wishful thinking? I think not.

That is excellent news for you. I am so pleased. Take all and any positives when they come your way. Why give any part of this sucker the feeling it is winning?

Be assured, those of us who have been on the road for a while do gain from hearing good news, although, to be totally honest, there can be a wee bit of jealously, which lasts no time. After all, we are not the sucker, but we are just human.

    Take care

I got my PET scan results today and nothing liver clear with nothing in lymph nodes, dont know what the DR who wrote the CT report was on!! They did however find a spot on my upper right arm which I am having a CT scan on Friday. But as I said to the oncologist nope its not what you think, we will see who is right.

My heart goes out to all of you who are further in you journey than I am and having a tougher time.

Kay….I also don’t put much value in statistics however, if you do, then I like to believe that someone has to be in the top 30% of this prediction so, why not your Dad? All my best wishes.

    Kay,

Good stuff! Here’s hoping that the rest of your dads treatment goes well.

    Best wishes to you both.

That is such good news Kay. About the only thing we know for sure when it comes to CC is to ignore Stats. I always use the term, realistically optimistic.
    Keep up the good news!

Well dad got the results from the PET scan and it shows the tumor fading after 1/2 way through chemo. The doctors are happy with the results. They are now going to change things up and do the IMRT Radiation along with a chemo pill 2x a day. They are going to radiate the entire bile duct area because they are thnking that is where that little tumor cell started. They are currently working with the surgeon so that they do not interfer with his previous surgery. They might finish up with 6 more weeks of chemo. We are all holding on that we may finally nail it this time. Dad is cautiously optimistic. We keep his hope up. Doctors say 30% they will cure it. Although, I dont really pay attention to the stats…I wonder if any are actually accurate.
