    Yes, we have been to the Mayo Clinic. And now she is getting treatment at KU. Mayo gave her the exact same treatment plan that KU had.

    It has not entered her pancreas so I guess that is why. It’s everywhere else of course. But not there.

    This is what I have learned so far: surgeries to treat cholangiocarcinoma will depend on a number of factors. Whipple surgery (a pancreaticoduodenectomy) is most commonly performed when CC has invaded the pancreas or, of course, for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. You can read up on it through the internet.
    Have you sought out a second opinion in re: to the treatment for your sister?

    My sister was diagnosed 3 months ago. And I keep hearing everyone talking about this procedure. This has never even been brought up to her. Is this because hers is too advanced. It has metasasized to her bones and lymph nodes. I am assuming this is why it’s not an option.

    Any help would be appreciated.
