Michelle….No pain. It can be controlled. Please, insist on it.

    Hi Marion

Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly, am on my way to see dad now. Dad’s dr in Buenos Aires at the moment, left today, could not make contact. They took a blood culture and as of yesterday nothing had grown will check tonight in file. Been 3 days now? Dad in a lot of pain, is on antibiotics – am hoping to see someone who can tell me something tonight.

    Thank you so much

Hello Michelle…it is great to hear from you. I assume for the blockage to be causing the white bile. Proper drainage should address this issue. The infection may be caused by the blockage and a blood culture will reveal the cause of the infection. We have seen, on this board often, for the infection to clear with the appropriate antibiotics. I am wishing the same for your Dad. When will you be able to speak with the physician?
I am sending my best wishes your way and hoping for your Dad to feel better real soon. Please, stay in touch.
    Thinking of you,
    Marion

    Hi Everyone

Have been away for a while although i have been following the boards. My dad is back for a replacement of a metal stent. He is 72 and passed his 8 month prognosis with no interventions except replacement of stents throughout last year.

He was admitted because of an infection and very high temps. He is in ICU at UCT Private Academic Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa. I read his file last night, have not been able to speak to his doctor yet. When the replaced stent they found “white bile”.

What is this and does anyone know what this indicates. Have googled but does not sound good at all. Can anyone help me please, i beginning to become a little anxious about the implications of this?

    Please help

    Michelle
