Xeloda Dosage?

Olympic- Thank you very much for the response; that is the exact type of information that I was looking for but couldn’t find in the searches. That you tolerated it for so long, I’m hopeful that even if the dose may be on the high side for Mom, we’re only looking to stay on it for 2 cycles (at this time). I wish you luck as well, and am so sorry that you are facing this at such a young age.

That was my dosage from March to September (1500 mg 2x daily/14 days on/7 days off). I am 5’9″ 150 lbs and 33 years old. My only symptoms were fatigue, some slight numbness in my feet, and stomach discomfort (which was managed with OTC Nexium and Rolaids). In September, the stomach discomfort got worse, and I was told to take a break from Xeloda.

Hi –
Mom started on Xeloda 5 days ago with the hope that it will make her upcoming SIRT treatment more effective. So far, just fatigue, but ONC said symptoms may show up around Monday. Plan is for 14 days on/seven off for two cycles. She is taking a total of 3,000- mg per day (3-500mg pills twice daily). I tried searching here and other sites, and this seems like a higher dose than what I’m seeing (Mom is 120 lbs).
For those who have been on Xeloda, has anyone else taken such a high dose?
