Dearest Kris, all I can say is we are anxiously standing by! Perhaps if a geat part time job came to your attention, you could tell them you want to start after Dec. 6th. I would keep searching as it will help keep your mind on other things. PET Scan is easy. Another unwanted new experience! Try to have some fun this weekend, you so deserve it.

I’ve been sitting around waiting for the onc appt. on Monday after the CT scan last week. (not really)… this morning her office called and they want me to have a PET scan before I meet with her on Monday. So now I go in tomorrow for a PET scan. My first. I’m trying to stay positive but this is the first time they’ve wanted more “clarity” from a PET scan so I’m scared.
Gee, things must be happening that weren’t scheduled. I’ve been looking for a part time job. Now I have dr. appts. tomorrow, Monday, Friday, next Monday and next Tues. Then cataract surgery on Dec. 6th. How on earth do you get a part time job in these circumstances??
I’m just praying my onc is being cautious. I wish they would give me more than a “she wants some clarification”… I know the radiation worked to kill at least part of the cells and that’s what they are saying: it’s hard to see the activity in the CT scan….. but it’s still nerve wracking.
Just giving an update. A little venting too……

Thanks Kris. I have an idea for you! Get on your Girlcycle, ride right in to the office and tell them you are not leaving until you get your results and then just keep reving up the motor! See, I can be a brat when I don’t get my way, LOL!

I can get all of my labs dating to the first blood work. And I can see specifics if I click on them. For example, if I click on the CA 19-9, I get all the results from April 2011 until now. Unfortunately, I can’t get the scan results online or I would cheat and look them up.

Pam, a that is terrific! So, it depends where you are being treated if you can pull up LABS. I think my Endocrinologist just did this with his office. Now if I could just remember where I put my password. Oh, I know! On the back of his business card.
    Where else!

Great news on the CA19-9 Kris!! I still think it is so cruel of your Onclogist to make you wait that long for scan results. I know how sick we all feel just waiting a few hours or overnight for Lauren’s scans. I cannot imagine having to wait that long. Your Oncologist is really on my s**t list!! I know she is good, but not enough compassion.

Lainy- U of M just changed their computer system this past summer. We are now able to log on and see all of Lauren’s labs from when the new system was put in place. You can even see the results in graph form to see how much different results have gotten better or worse. Very convenient.

Where there is a will there is a way and it’s name is Kris! Yea, sounds good to me. Can anyone get their LABS on line? Wow, I just switched here to our new Banner MDA and I have a CT Scan and LABS one day (Dec 11) and my appt. with the ONC the next for results. Got to love that!

I got my blood work results. I may not have any control over hearing the results of the CT scan, but she can’t keep me from going online to see the blood work. My CA 19-9 is down to 75!! I know that’s still high, but the lowest it’s ever been is 84 and most of this fight it’s been over 100-800. So I’ll take that as good news and run with it!
My bilirubinis 1.0 but I’m not going to worry too much because we radiated the liver and my liver tends to react with a high bilirubin and no symptoms.
11 days to go until I get the results……tick, tick, tick.

Kris, you are right, Everready was the battery they were advertising. Excuse my Prednisone brain! You really are the Energizer Bunny!

    Lainy:
It’s the Energizer bunny!!! And that’s hysterical ’cause that’s what I call myself!! I keep going and going and going….
Thanks for the wishes everyone It sounds like the weather will hold off until I get hone. I would have made it to my scan last week, but unfortunately power outages DO stop Kris! Or at least it stops the medical center from keeping appointments…..
