Hi. In Susie. In 32 yrs old diagnosed at 31. I had intrahepatic cc and had a resection in may 2011. Just had my one yr scan and it is clean! I had chemo and radiation after my resection. I just recently had an ovary removed because of a mass, but it turned out to just be a cyst. I don’t have much medical history. I have high cholesterol even though I’m as skinny as can be. I don’t take meds for it. I do not have psc or inflammatory bowel disease. Best wishes to everyone!

There is a young girl, Katie- She posts under the name: derkuchen- I haven’t noticed her on for a while- she is in remission according to the latest post and her posts are wonderfully uplifting.

Pam- I agree most have Liza’s type of cancer. So sad. They thought that I might of had it. Dr. Javle was surprised that it wasn’t that. Im thankful, CC does get more research, and tends to respond better than her cancer. I don’t have anything wrong with my liver other than CC thank goodness.

Lainy- WOW an 11 year old. How sad. I wonder what happened to her. :( Breaks my heart. :(:(

Yep. It seems to happen to only the best.

Ladies, just want to mention that when we had our “Faces of CC site” there was a little girl 11 years old on there. Knocked my socks off. And you wonder how this can happen to an 11 year old. We will never know since we don’t even know why it happens at all. Coul it be that for some strange reason it is only happening to the best!?

Thankfully, Tiff I don’t think there are too many. I’ve seen a few in their later 30’s, but I have never met anyone younger than Lauren. I think most that have liver cancer that are young have the one that Liza has. There was a Mom that posted on here a few times last year when I first joined this site. Her daughter was only around 25. Sadly, she passed away fairly quick. So sad. We e-mailed back and forth a few times, but I think it made her too sad. I also think the people that get this when they are young usually have that PSC or colitis to start. Lauren had neither. Did you? How did you two get so unlucky? Take care Miss. Love you.

I know there are a few out there! I was in touch with a few families via email and facebook.
I talk to Pam K a lot, but wanted to see how many young people we have fighting. People in their 20-30s.
