Thank you all so much for your kind words. Mom has been on Cisplatin/Gemzar since August. She goes to chemo for 2 weeks and then off one week. I spoke to her yesterday and they (mom and dad) were on their way to Dallas, a 5 hour drive to see the surgeon. We didn’t know the appointment would be so quick as she had just found Wednesday that it was even a possibility. However, we assumed that when they said surgery that it would be a possible liver resection. She will see a doctor today that performs the cyberknife procedure. I have only read about this. Does anyone have any experience with this, did it help, what’s the next step afterwards?
I have told mom about the wonderful support group of people here and she was just thrilled. I hate that the one thing that we all have in common is this horrendous disease, but I am amazed at the love, support, compassion that people here have for one another. I hope that you all have a good Friday and a relaxing weekend!
