The MRI that was just taken nothing changed the cancer is still stable. They are just going to watch him .No radiation at this time.WE are hoping the billirubin will go down and some life might get back to normal. The drain is working but not very good does anyone have any thoughts on this.He is still very jaundice. We go back to doctors on May 3rd.

Jesse went to radiolgist we dont know what his plans are we have to have another Mri to determine if he can have a localized treatment. The doc says he might be able to do two light treatments a day.Does anyone know if this will take the billirubin down? He says it could do harm to Jesse’s liver maybe shut it down or cause him to have more blockages .Lots of discissions to be made.It is to the point we dont know what to do.

It has been 2 weeks since the drain was fitted. The billiruben did go up to 11 after it was fitted. The next week it went down to9.9 but this week it went to 12.WE will know when they start the Chemo April 5TH at that time they will do another blood test to see what the billiruben is doing.

The drain is draining good but not helping. The bile ducts are obstructed. He doesn’t have a infection.

jesse has just got out of the hospital. His belliruben went to 11. They placed a drain tube in his bile duct.He is still very jaundice. He goes back to see to get results of blood work tomorrow.Like somone said we are on a roller coaster ride.

In 2007 they reconstructed the bile duct and now since he is having trouble again. They say that no stint can be put in.He was in the hospital in Dec.2010 it was infection and he dehydrated.they got it back down by inserting a bag running from bile duct to drain it.They took the bag back out because it quit working they think it is because of obstruction. We dont know what is next other than another blood test April 1st and a Cat scan in May

Hi Lainy, I am From Ky near Lexington. I have been going to the Markey Cancer center in Lexington. To give you a little update when i had the whipple they could not get all the cancer. So they did not do the complete whipple. I did chemo after the surgery and the cancer was gone. That was in 2007. In Dec of 2009 the cancer was back. I have had radiation and chemo and the tumor is smaller. So now we are in wait and see mode. I will have a mri in May. Jesse
