I am having sterio tactic radiosurgery, does anyone know if this is similar? Lisa
lisacraineSpectatorKris. Surgery is good. I have had two resections with Dr. John Fung at the Cleveland Clinic and they were fine. Don’t let anyone scare you. I will pray for you. if you have any questions please feel free to cal me…330-903-;6868. Lisa
lisacraineSpectatorThis website and all the people involved are a blessing. When I was diagnosed I had never heard of Cholangiocarcinoma so I started searching the Internet for information. Most websites were confusing and alarming with such bleak survival rates. When I found this website I found peace, love and friendship. I found people like me searching for support and answers. Thank you to all those involved in making this website such a haven for people with cholangiocarcinoma. Lisa

lisacraineSpectatorI have been waiting over a week for insurance to approve my radiation treatment and it is still pending. Does anyone know how to move this process along ?
lisacraineSpectatorMarion. Just saw your response..still learning my way around website. Thank you. Lisa
lisacraineSpectatorLaura. I am so sorry for your families pain. You will be in our prayers. Lisa
lisacraineSpectatorI would have gone to the doctor at the first sign of pain instead of waiting and assuming it was nothing. I am so thankful for this website and the wonderful support. I appreciate life and want to fight as hard as I can to beat this disease.
lisacraineSpectatorThis is amazing news. Prayers will continue to be sent your way. Lisa
lisacraineSpectatorI had a resection in Sept. 2010 and they removed over 75 percent of my liver. The recovery was slow but manageable. The surgeon was unable to get clean margins since it was so close to a main vessel. I had six months of chemo and then the cancer came back in the liver but they were able to get clean margins during this surgery. I think it is fantastic news that you got clean margins……with chemo this could be a cure…yipppeeee
lisacraineSpectatorMy Cat scan today showed the tumor we knew about but also a new one. The doctors agree that the Gemzar is not working so that will be stopped and I will start radiathon next week. here we go again.
lisacraineSpectatorThank you for all of your support. Several of you wanted to know more about me. I am 47 yrs old, married and have two sons..one 20 and one 14. I am being treated at the Cleveland Clinic. My surgeon is Dr. John Fung and he is an amazing surgeon and so caring and compassionate. I go tomorrow for my CAT scan and hopefully nothing new has popped up. I believe I can do anything with God. My faith is strong. I am curious if anyone has altered their diet to an alkaline based diet or ny other diet that has helped. Lisa
