how wonderful to hear from you, and you are very right about the 200, and no, I don’t feel that you are putting holes in the transcript. I confused that number with another interview, and that not being with Dr. Gorter. I will take it out, it is misleading. I will however, ask Dr. Gorter to specify by number patients he has treated although, he most likely will include other cancers. I will post the answer probably by next week.
But now to you. I suppose the flu-like symptoms seem to vary from person to person. I am hoping so very much for these symptoms to be indicative of a favorable response.
We are still contemplating going to Germany for treatment although we are not quite sure of the date as of yet. My husband is ready to go, today.
Geoff, my fingers are crossed in a permanent position. for you to see some benefit with this treatment.
All the best
MarionmarionsModeratorHi DavidH,
I am looking forward to your e-mail.
We made our choice based on criteria which may or may not be similar to yours however, I will gladly pass on to you what we have learned during this process.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Our best to you and your wife
MarionmarionsModeratorG,
thank you for posting this. I am very interested in this.Marion
marionsModeratorMaggie,
Sometime ago I had pulled several studies on CC which were conducted in France however, I was not able to locate them today. I know that this surgery is being performed in France also. Just another tip.
Good Luck
MarionmarionsModeratorMaggie,
I am so very sorry to hear about your mother.
I don’t personally know of anyone who came from Europe to be operated here however, Geoff and Jules speak highly of a doctor in England who performed surgery on Geoff. You might want to look at their postings and or e-mail them personally. Make sure to gather all of the reports (CD) and start contacting surgeons who have experience with CC. Study this site for information, it is an invaluable tool in the fight against this cancer.
The best of luck
MarionmarionsModeratorGeoff,
I don’t pretend to understand all the details of DC therapy, but obvisously they have substantial experience – both basic research and clinical – with dendritic cell therapy. Basically, in my opinion, this therapy is another long shot at treating a difficult cancer, and it’s similar to other chemotherapy long shots which have been tried, some successfully and some with ultimately disappointing results.
In view of the very limited other chemotherapy options, I see more benefit then harm in trying this approach, except for the logistical issues of travel, expenses, etc.
You have done great holding your cancer at bay which may or may not be attributed to the strict diet you are adhering to, so it seems logical to approach this cancer with therapies least harmful, and the possiblity of proving to be highly beneficial to you.
Dendritic Cell Therapy has shown some very positive results.
Thinking of you and wishing you the very best.
MarionmarionsModeratorGeoff,
Glad to hear from you, and hearing that you are doing so very well. Unfortunately, my husband’s recurrence is not giving him the opportunity to undergo dendtritic cell therapy at this time, but it is our goal to do so in the earliest possible future. He had a Klatskin tumor resection in June of 2006.
Wonderful to hear from you and the choice you have made.
Marion
marionsModeratorGeoff,
it is wonderful to hear about your tumors being stable. I am so excited that you have taken the initiative with dendritic cell therapy since I believe it to be an invaluable tool in the fight against cancer. The best of luck. Looking forward to hearing from you.
MarionSmarionsModeratorDear Figen,
you and your mom have touched our lives in an extraordinary way. You are in our thoughts while sharing with you the pain of her loss. The memories of our loved ones will always be part of the present and future, and that is what will sustain us.

Happy Birthday to you.
Marion
marionsModeratorThank you Stacie,
we are all in this together, the joy of sharing positive responses , and the heartbreak of those, who leave us behind. May this Foundation become a legacy for everyone touched by this disease.
MarionmarionsModeratormels,
I am not an expert on this but you might want to ask the oncologist about alpha-lipoic acid to help with the neuropathy. If so, when it can be taken so that it may not interfere with the chemo.
Good Luck
MarionmarionsModeratorHi seasheller,
I would recommend you gather more opinions from other places in re: to surgery. We always request records of anything for our personal use including Ct scans. This allows us to mail copies as requested to other doctors without all the hassle. This site has answered many questions for us and it continues to be of great value to us. I hope it will do the same for you. It is wonderful to hear that your husband feels well.
Best to the both of you
