I just had the stent put in two weeks ago and boy did it make a difference. I was tired all the time and moving around made me tireder. Now I see and feel a big difference , much more energy and I want to do more. I eat more also. I am still tired at times but unlike most of what I hear I am the opposite and do not sleep at night well. Like your mother-in=law I also chose to do this on my terms. I feel stronger this way and feel like I have some control still of my life.
mheltonSpectatoryes, I have found out that by blood work i am a healthy person everything is in with in normal range. This is a very weird cancer.
mheltonSpectatorIf I may ask a question why did they do an echocardiogram. I am scheduled for a whipple but that is not on my list of before things to do but I am reading that it is a common thing to have done.
mheltonSpectatorWow intial symptons, massive itching from head to toe. Minor stomach discomfort. Of course they thought gallstones but that never sit right with me. I would call it the rock in my stomach. Thanks to a great family doctor and a surgeon who had seen this before things moved quickly (or so I think) but I have distol where it seems most here have the upper type that is the type that takes out the liver. I know I do not use all of the medical terms that most here know so well but I am learning them.
mheltonSpectatorI am located just above cincinnatti, ohio in Oxford. The surgery is planned for the 30th unless he can get me in sooner. From the way he talks he can do any of the surgeriers needed. He did tell me of the doctor but remembering names is not my best thing. I really like my doctor he listened to me when I said I felt llike I had a stone in this area. He didn’t just say gallbladder. I really did not have alot of the gallbladder pains. My son just had his out a few years ago and I am very familiar with it and didn’t feel like it was the gallbladder. Oh the hospital is McColihyde . I know I spelled it wrong I have been there enough lately you would think I could spell it.
