Hi Alla, I lost my husband on Sept. 14th, 2011. In December I broke my left arm and had to remove my rings due to swelling. Months later they still would not fit on my fingers so I had them made bigger this summer because I missed them so much. My physiotherapist said my fingers would eventually go back to their original size but I gave up! Maybe one day I will switch them to my right, who knows, but then I would have to have them made bigger again! Like Darla said above just do what feels right. We’re in unchartered territory with no rules! Hugs. Nancy
nancy246SpectatorHi SRP, Just thought I would introduce myself and offer some support. Becky’s nausea can be caused by high bilirubin. Getting bilirubin down can be hard . Has your doctor offered any medications for this? Unfortunately it comes with the disease since high levels of bilirubin is caused by bile not being able to pass through the liver. Keep her well hydrated and try fruit smoothies (my husband loved them – I would add protein powder to them to boost his energy).
I believe her attitude is not all that unusual when it comes to cc. Have her ammonia levels checked. High ammonia levels can cause confusion and odd behaviours. Lactulose can help with this.
Wishing you and your sister all the best; I know the hard road you travel.
Nancynancy246SpectatorCongratulations to Stacie and Percy! Thank you for all that you do!
nancy246SpectatorCongratulations! Go out and celebrate! Thanks for giving others hope. Nancy
nancy246SpectatorSo sorry to hear you spent the weekend in the hospital Tiff. I watched the whole video – it was awesome! What a wonderful friend you have in Christina. I also was nervous for her watching it, even though I knew she completed it successfully -lol! Now I will wait for the time when you have finished kicking this cancer butt and I watch your video of jumping out of the plane!
You are a real trooper Tiff and have faced challenges far beyond jumping out of a plane and have come out on top. Lots of love to you and your family. Nancynancy246SpectatorDear Anne, I feel your pain. Somehow we make it through these times with love and memories and with putting one foot in front of the other. It is a journey, a tough one, but you will feel her love every step of the way. Take care and keep in touch. Love to you and your family. Nancy
nancy246SpectatorJoanna, That’s wonderful! Non-cancerous – music to our ears! Hugs. Nancy
nancy246SpectatorSo glad to read this good news! Much love to you and Lauren. Nancy
nancy246SpectatorWe did it! 50 hikers and 4 bikers raised $5200.00 and we still have donations coming in! The day was beautiful, filled with love and support. The Girl Guides of Revelstoke hosted us to a wonderful BBQ after our hike! My friend made a cake in memory of Doug with the Cholangiocarinoma Foundation tree on it. All participants received a bracelet and we had 3 draw prices. I am still exhausted but it was oh so worth it! Hugs to all. Nancy
nancy246SpectatorLisa Ann, I am sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. Take comfort in what he said to you that he will be around. What wonderful words. For though his tired body has left he will be with you forever. Hugs to you and your family. Nancy

nancy246SpectatorYay Maria! Keep kicking butt!! I picture you outrunning everyone! Tough? Well not too many “well” people can do what you do, let alone cancer patients, but I know one thing all you patients out there are the toughest people I have ever known! You are definitely running for the cure and we will follow you as best we can! Hugs. Nancy
