Are there any oncologists in the house who can say whether they would find this apparent improvement (1cm liver lesion gone in just a few chemo sessions) questionable, and would seek a further scan or another radiologist’s view?

Hugs,
MarionMarion,
Thanks but what I am referring to here is the case of someone I know, where a CT scan reported the above, but it turned out that the lesion had not in fact gone away at all (and had likely increased in size).
This is why I ask hypothetically what people would do if they were on the receiving end of this sounds-too-good-to-be-true radiology report.

In the end, we went with Juan Valle in The Christie for the second opinion, and found him to be excellent.

The chemo schedule has now been confirmed as followed:
Day 1
Day 8
Day 29
Day 36
Day 57And so on.
When I first looked at this, I saw the gap between Day 8 and Day 29 – three weeks – and was concerned. The oncology nursing team assures me that this constitutes a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule, since the second dose, given on day 8, will last for a week. Are they right in saying this?
