so far no side effects from the chemo. occasional nausea that passes quickly. I keep compazine with me all the time and crackers! I have found if I go too long without food, the nausea hits. I haven’t been told what stage I am in….based on what I’ve read it is probably Stage IIB. Haven’t asked…not sure if I want to know right now. I have not heard the drs put a timeline on my prognosis…again haven’t asked. I know at some point I will need to know these things but I think I will wait until I have another scan to see if shrinkage has occured.

I am an 8th grade special education teacher from Tennessee. Currently undergoing treatment at Sarah Cannon Research Institute in Nashville, TN. I am in the clinical trials for ARQ 197 phase I. I take 6 pills a day and am also undergoing weekly treatments with Gemzar.

it is great to have a site to go to and know that everyone will understand my questions and fears as well as a little dose of anger. I try to keep my emotions in check and remain positive but sometimes it is hard.
