On October 9, 2007 Michael, age 40 years young, was admitted to Northeast Methodist Hospital with acute liver failure. His only symptom was jaundice of the skin and eyes. A CT was performed that evening that showed a 6cm (approx. 2 1/4″) mass on the lower lobe of the pancreas. This mass was blocking the duct from the liver to the pancreas and causing fluids to backup into his bloodstream. Little did we realize that this would be the beginning of the Fight of our Lives.
With the diagnosis of Stage 4 Gall Bladder Cancer, Michael made it his mission to “Never Give Up”! Through his faith, our family and friends watched Mike’s Love for his Lord and Savior unfold. His walk on this journey of pain and cancer was truly a testimony of a loving husband and father who KNEW that God had greater plans for him. Michael will be forever missed by his 3 young daughters and his wife of 19 years.
