Sharon Whish

1/7/1951 – 4/14/2022

On April 14, 2022, Sharon Whish lost her long battle with bile duct cancer. Sharon was the devoted and loving wife to Myron Whish, proud mother and grandmother to daughter, Kimberly Rogers (Kelvin Rogers); son, Bryan Whish (Stefanie Raymond-Whish); grandchildren: Darby Raymond-Overstreet, Cameron Rogers, Colby Rogers, Cade Whish, Colton Whish, Dax Whish; and loving and caring sister to brothers, James Richard O'Connell, and William Paul O'Connell (Holly).

Sharon married Myron on September 4, 1970. Shortly after they were married Myron was drafted and became a proud Marine. Once again Sharon was able to travel and lived in California and North Carolina. During their time in the Marine Corps, they were blessed with two children, Kim and Bryan. Sharon truly loved raising her children, both of whom were very active in sports and other extracurricular activities which kept the family very busy but always having fun.

Sharon was proud of her career as an office administrator working for Midwest City Memorial Hospital, Tinker AFB, Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, and Mercy Health Center. She made many lasting friendships that began during those years.

She loved traveling, decorating, gardening, nature, and most critters. However, she was at her very happiest when she spent time with her family.

Sharon and Myron spent 52 wonderful, fun-filled years together not only as husband and wife but also, as she often said, as "very best friends."

As Sharon requested, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, Sharon would be proud and honored if donations were in her memory to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation to aid in providing resources for others dealing with bile duct cancer. Also, donations would provide funds for scientific grants to conduct bile duct cancer/cholangiocarcinoma research in an effort to find more effective treatments and cures for this devastating disease.
