Any success using Sunitinib?

donndenman…..welcome. Given your location of residence, I assume that your sister in-law has consulted with either, Stanford or UCSF?
The study mentioned by you has been approved by ECOG (Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group) however; I don’t see any mention of it being conducted in the US.

Mariondonndenman, I hope your Sister’s ONC knows of the side effects she is having as there are things she can take and he should know anyway. Also wondering if she ever got a 2nd opinion, that is so important. And may I ask where her CC is and about the diagnosis. Wishing her the best and thanks for the update.

She has tolerated the chemo really well, and now on her third therapy. With the first chemo her hair didn’t even fall out, and due to the effects on the tumor she actually felt better than before. It seems that each new therapy is somewhat harder to tolerate (probably that’s why they are recommended in that order), and there are tough parts of the cycle for her.
Hello Donndenman and welcome to our remarkable family. You have come to the best place to be but sorry you had to find us. Can you tell us a little more about your Sister-in-Law? Where is she being treated? Since she has been through different Chemos I am wondering if she has had other opinions, we are huge believers in that, and where is her CC? I can’t help you in the Chemo area as my husband never had Chemo but I know that you will be getting some answers here. The more we know about your SIL the better we can help. Hang in and Be Strong and please keep us updated on her progress.

Has anyone had good results using Sinitinib, or entered the clinical trial from the NIH? My sister-in-law is on her third chemo and we’re looking for other possible treatments (she’s on Cisplatin, started on Gemzar, etc).
