Yes, it is an annual event and for the next 10 years it will be held in Chicago whereas in previous years it had rotated between Orlando and Chicago.
And, it is huge. McCormick Place is so big that often times I had wished for roller skates in order to navigate the different locations of symposiums. Definitely, I can count on some aching feet at the end of the day.
The American Society of Clinical Oncology has been especially receptive to our goal of finding a cure for this cancer. If you remember the upcoming webinar, on Wednesday, is led by a member of their Conquer Cancer Foundation (formerly The ASCO Cancer Foundation) with whom we have partnered in The Young Investigator Award. This award is designed to encourage and promote high-quality research in clinical oncology. In our case, it will be disease specific to Cholangiocarcinoma.
Although, we have had in the past years the opportunity to occupy a booth at the annual ASCO event. This time however, we have been allotted a specific, very desirable location sponsored by ASCO. Only 20 advocate locations are awarded each year, and we are fortunate to be amongst the select few.
