Hi again all,
Please take a look at this as well if you can.Below are links sent from CBS TV from Austin, TX regarding the race John McDonald initiated for his late wife, Michelle. The race was Sat, Aug 10th in Taylor, TX. CBS gave generous coverage pre/post event and a local news anchor ran and placed in the race.
Here are links to the video that aired Saturday at 6pm!

Michelle's Hot Peeps 5K to Beat CC on CBS Austin | August 10th, 2019
Here's video from Saturday's Michelle's Hot Peeps Beat CC 5K in Taylor. The race benefits the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (Bile Duct Cancer). Michelle McDonald was diagnosed with the disease in 2017 and lost her fight just 5 months later at the age of 47. It was hot and over 150 people – family, friends and community members – took part as Michelle's "Hot Peeps" to honor her memory. Lots of highlights for me: meeting an 80-year-old runner who says she does a 5K every weekend! (So inspired), meeting a fellow runner – Mike Elliott – who also just came back from an injury (we both took 2nd place in our respective age groups), hanging with my Team CBS Austin friends Chelsea Thompson (who was the first female!!) and Adela Uchida and chatting with several of Michelle's friends and family members who are committed to helping find a cure. Next year's race will be Saturday, August 8th, 2020! I'm planning to run it again – hope to see you there!
