bgmat48…..welcome to our special group and a huge congratulations on the successful surgery. Fantastic to hear of your speedy recovery. I happen to think that already you are a cancer survivor. Although recurrence may always be in the back of your mind. please know that many are cured with their resections and why not you as well?

    Hugs,
    Marion

Hello, I am a 67 yr old widow who was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma on the left lobe of my liver back in June. After researching the illness I was preparing myself for the worst. My oncologist referred me to MD Anderson in Houston where the surgeon remove the left lobe with the tumour. Luckily, the tumour didn’t spread anywhere, hence no chemo, just scans and blood tests every 3 months. I thank the Lord for each day and feel blessed. My doctor said that after 5 yrs cancer free, I would be a cancer survivor, so fingers crossed! It has been 2 months since my surgery and my strenght and energy is back, I am starting to enjoy life again, to feel “normal”. Although, there is doubts in the back of my mind, wondering if or when it could happen again, I don’t dwell on it. Thanks for letting me share my story.
