    Hi Elmoks,

Glad to hear that your mum is not in any pain and that is indeed very good, long may that continue. And I also like her attitude and her “don’t count me out yet” quote, I like that a lot! And yes, I too know what stubborness is like with my mum. My dad would do everything and take all the help possible when he was fighting CC, but my mum and getting help for her COPD, now that is a whole different ballgame!!!

My best wishes to you and your mum,

    Gavin

I love your mom’s attitude….enjoying every moment of her life no matter how long it is. I could just envision her doing her song and dance.

Stubborness can be a most admirable trait. May it carry you through any tough days that may come your way. If Lainy is stubborn then I’m in ‘cuz I love her just the way she is. Keep posting – your post lifted my spirits today. Blessings, Susan

I LOVE it. I love your attitudes and I love that you will be able to look back on this time and think of it as such a memorable time. Your mother sounds like such a wonderful woman. Stubborness is such a fine attribute…just ask me.

That is a quote from my ROCKSTAR mom. Everyday she amazes me. The hospice nurse increased my moms pain patches to 300 this week. Mom said it made her head feel “high” but not like the 70’s. Lol and she’s not in any pain, so that’s good. Her feet, legs and belly are so swollen, but as she struts around the house signing “I’m on the catwalk, on the catwalk”, she also claims that its not causing her any pain. I think most of the time she just acts like she’s “fine” for our benefit. She’s very adamant about not visiting with the Hospice Social Worker, not needing a Hospice volunteer or visiting with the pastor. She says it’s not time yet.???? I wonder when is it time? I’ve learned this week that being stubborn is a great quality, most of the time. But, I inherited that quality from my mom and 2 stubborn woman…… well as you can imagine its hard. And throw my 2 stubborn sisters into the mix and well, please keep my poor dad in your thoughts and prayers! Hahaha thankfully because of hospice he’s able to get a break from all of us. If anyone of you are wondering about hospice and when to call do it now!! Ask questions now! They are awesome!!!!.
