So thrilling to hear of another successful surgery and happy to know that the liver is regenerating at a rapid speed. This is the kind of news we thrive on. May your dear wife continue to do well and enjoy a life without this cancer.
Hugs
MarionJune 27, 2017 at 6:06 am #95050tb7mweb-co-zaMemberMy wife was diagnosed in January 2016, with a tumor of 16 cm inoperable. Dr Canady treated her with chemo and radiation at the same time in August. Dr Mullikan and Dr Canady did the first operation in January 2017 at Rush University medical centre, The second operation followed in March 2017. My wife is recovering well in SA and the liver regenerate already to 50%,, No one was prepared to do this operation. I’m just glad that Dr Canady was prepared to help my wife and that Dr Mullikan and Rush University Medical Centre did the operation.

Just an update on my wife,
Today we received the good news after the MRI scan that there is no sign of cancer, That after a liver resection of 85% in 2 operations,June 5, 2017 at 7:39 am #95043tb7mweb-co-zaMemberJust sharing the information. My e-mail is tb7@mweb.co.za
May 25, 2017 at 5:02 pm #95042positivitySpectatorThanks for sharing this information. My mom does not have the option of surgery, and we decided not to pursue this route or find a doctor who will say otherwise. Took risky at this point. This sounds familiar, but it was by the name of cryosurgery in which cells are frozen. I brought it to the attention of an oncologist, but it seemed he dismissed it due to being so adamant of the standard treatment for all patients.
May 25, 2017 at 11:40 am #13391tb7mweb-co-zaMemberMy wife was diagnosed in South Africa (20 January 2016) with unresectable cholangiocarcinoma. I contacted Dr Canady after reading about him on this site. He was very helpful from the start. They gave my wife max 18 months to live. In July 2016 we visited Dr Canady in America. He is a brilliant caring Doctor. Nobody was prepared to operate on my wife. This year January she had her first operation at Rush University Medical centre. In March she had the second operation at same hospital. Dr Mullikan did the surgery with Dr Canady. Brilliant Doctors. My wife is on her way back to South Africa ( cancer free) with Dr Canady. He is using a new invention called cold plasma on the tumor, The cold plasma only kill the affected cells and not the healthy ones like chemo does. I can recommend Dr Canady, because he help my wife when nobody wanted to.
