DEAR ALL
It is wonderful that this website and discussion board exists. It is such a shame we have nothing like it in England as treatment seems different here.
An astute doctor caught my cholangiocarcinoma early. I had a major operation for T2 Bile Duct Cancer. The gallbladder was removed also but liver found to be healthy. Path results after op revealed unclear margins and perineural invasion. However, a PET Scan showed no growth or spread since op.
In England, we have no definite adjuvant therapy. Only BILCAP Trial is offered. Here a computer randomizes you into a group that gets capecitabine or a group that gets only observation. I am awaiting the results of this randomization. Whilst I wait I realise just how lucky I was to be caught early. That now is the time for me to use the ‘power of Cindy’ and get my immune system back on track.
Does anyone know if CCC tends to come back? Or can I now put this behind me and move on?
