Spring is the best time of year and it is wonderful you get to enjoy it as a family. I love that first bit of warm sun on my face. Tell your mom to keep proving those doctors wrong.Kris

The roller coaster ride that we’ve been on with my mom is definately one that I can say is NOT fun. However, now it’s spring time, my mom’s favorite time of year, and we get to enjoy it. Her platelets are still too low to do any chemo. Which, we are happy and sad about. Chemo is like our life line… we feel that when she’s doing chemo it’s saving her… killing that nasty cancer. But at the same time it makes her so sick so we are so happy that she’s able to enjoy this spring. 1 year ago, this week, April 16th is when the Dr’s told us that she had this horrible cancer. They also “thought” that she had an expiration date stamped on her butt. HA! They told us she would have a few months to live… again HA! My mom, I’m sure like all of those faced with the battle of fighting any and all cancers, is a warrior! She’s not giving up! I think she likes proving the dr’s wrong.
And for my dad and my sisters, yes this roller coaster ride has been tuff, but we’ve been able to spend so much more time together as a family. And for that I’m grateful! Our family is hoping that you and your families are also getting to enjoy this spring!
