    Barbara Ann,
So nice of you to be joining us while sharing your story.
It sounds as if your father has been tolerating his treatments well. While he is staying in control of his illness you seem to be doing your homework by gathering information to which he might not have access to. Possibly, someone physically closer can nudge him to step up his food intake by enticing him with some special snacks in order to keep up your father

    Hello All,
My father was dx’d in December 07 with cc, 77 years old, unresectable. He’s had one therasphere treatment for a large tumor, the bile duct stent procedure, and just began Xeloda chemotherapy. His biggest complaints are dizziness/weakness in the mornings, low appetite, and upper right side abdominal pain. From what I read, these are all pretty normal for his stage of the disease. He has no mets, except now small tumors in the other side of liver. He wants to be in control of all treatments, medications, decisions, etc. Which is a good thing, I believe, to keep one’s mind active. He is 100% mentally alert on good days, and 95% on bad days! We adult kids try to call and visit when we can (I’m the closest, being 3 hours away), but busy lives interfere.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi, share our experience, and learn from you all on this journey. Best to everyone.
