Justjill….I don’t know of many (if any) who did not complain about the problem about flatuance, post surgery. In fact, what about the others – surgery or, not -? Anyway, there are plenty of discussions about it although, you might want to use the word “gas” in the Search Function. And, be ready for a good laugh.

Hi! Teddy’s is much better now and I am prone to thinking it was from the radiation then the Cyberknife. Its really been much better. I wanted to invent a room spray to attach to the rear that would just automatically expel when he did!!!!!!!!!!!! I know its funny but not for the one living it. Yes, it was much worse at night. Mmm was that to get back at me? I did notice that fried foods and chocolate did not help. Hope it won’t be long before you can help make this a rosier world to live in! Its really not funny is it?

I realize this is an old thread, but, or is that Butt, this seems to be a common issue. Wondering if all that posted here had the whipple? Lainy , I know your man did! LOL

This is such an embarrassing issue. I have started taking some digestive enzymes from GNC, but, it does not seem to be helping me. I have days that I do not dare leave my house, its so bad. I have also had some , “dumping” along with it as well. Carbonated soda, will make it worse, but, has not caused it. My diet consists of Meat, vegetable and a salad. Most meats are oven baked or broiled.

First thing in the morning or late in the evenings are the absolutely worst.

Just wondering if anyone here , continues to have the issue. It has been five months since my surgery!

Ha, I found out that when I quit drinking carbonated soda pop, I didn’t have problems with gas anymore.

    No more Diet Pepsi :(

Thank you so very much. We have reached a point when Teddy has the “feeling” he goes in the garage!! I assume it will get worse with the Cyber Knife this month. We will stop tomorrow and get the Yogurt and Acidophilis. Thanks again especially my nose says thanks!!!

Well, I have been suffering this severely! I took some prilosec for the heartburn/acid reflux which destroyed my “gut flora”. I ended up at the doctors, got sent to the hospital for stool tests (ask me about the fun I had painting with numbers with my poop). I now have terrible, terrible gas from both ends. I have started taking Acidophilus tablets and eating probiotic yogart to get my good bacteria levels up and it seems to be working. The tablets can be bought in the vitamin section at walmart. It hasnt cured it all, but it has definately helped. And the bonus is not only do I do it less, it doesnt smell as bad (to me that is)

I know the price of gas has come down and we seem to have an abundance right now in our house!!! Poor Teddy is so bloated all the time to the point of real discomfort and walks around with a can of room spray! Its really not funny. We know from the PET Scan all is well so my question is, could this still be happening from the radiation since the Doc said it is still cookin? Any remedies out there? He has tried Brioche and Acid breakers and takes Prevacid daily.
