Food supplements to boost immune system

My husband takes two daily. He didn’t have a resection since the cancer had spread beyond the bile duct. I don’t know if it working or not but liver function blood tests taken three days ago are almost normal. My view is what harm can it do given the dreadful harm that the tumour is doing? he also takes IP6

That AHCC sounds promising and I must look that up. Unfortunately, I was asked by my oncologist to suspend the supplements I’ve been taking while I’m in a clinical trial.
I would consult with your oncologist, but if you think this is something that may work, it’d give it a try.

Any thoughts regarding food supplements to boost immune system ? I have been reading about AHCC on http://web.cancernutritioninfo.com/ where a study involving 222 patients, 113 of whom took AHCC (NOTE: these are all patients whose tumour was resected, which is also my own case) ie quite a large statistical base, more than comparable with most chemo agent trials. The study took place between 1992 and 2001. Anyway, 34.5% of those taking AHCC had a recurrence of the tumour, whilst 66.1% of those not taking AHCC had a recurrence.
