So wonderful to hear the great news, Eli. Sorry about the pooping problem. I think it happens to everyone at one time or another and it really makes a person feel awful. I hope things are going better for your wife. So, so happy for you both!!

    Love, -Pam

Eli…sorry for chiming in late. I am thrilled to hear of the great report; may the good news continue to come our way.

In regards to digestive issues: it used to be a hot topic on this site. Given the nature of this disease and the re-plumbing of the organs, we must count on difficulties along the way. It is not always easy to have things move along with regular bowel movements.

I am happy to know that everything is great.

    Hugs,
    Marion

    Hi Eli,

Great news indeed, congratulations!!! Well chuffed for you and your wife! So now you both can go on and celebrate and enjoy your summer!! Not so good about the constipation and the trip to ER, and hopefully the laxatives will start working well. Lactulose worked well for my dad. Now go on out and celebrate!!

My best to you and your wife,

    Gavin

Great news! So very happy for you and your family. May you have many more clean scans in your future.

And yea, I used to laugh at constipation commercials thinking how could that be so bad until my CC adventure…now I do not take poop for granted :)

Eli, you guys made my day! FANTABULOUS! I hope all clogged parts are doing well now! I went to ER 3 weeks ago today with a gastritis attack. PAINFUL! Let’s keep the good news rolling! Enjoy the weekend.

    Hi, Eli,
I think the Canada day and the 4th of July remind me of the word “celebration”,
The same applies to you and your wife too. You both should go out together and celebrate for such a good report.
    God bless.

I mentioned before that my wife was scheduled for a CAT scan on July 4th, the first anniversary of her surgery. We learned this week that the scan was clean.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes before the scan! We are so grateful to have your support.

    Hugs,
    Eli

P.S. The way we learned the results is a bit unfortunate. I took my wife to ER on Monday, after she developed major abdominal pain. And when I say major, I really mean it. She looked a complete wreck. ER doctor was the one who told us about the clean scan.

Luckily, the trip to ER ended up being a false scare. All tests turned up normal. It’s embarrassing to say, but they diagnosed her with … *ahem* … sever constipation. They told us to take laxatives and sent us home. Who knew that constipation can be so agonizingly painful??? I did some googling afterwards. Apparently it happens even to healthy people. Never mind CC patients who had a Whipple surgery, and then got zapped with a high dose of radiation to their belly.
